Maria Grazia Chiofalo

Maria Grazia Chiofalo received the M.D. degree (summa cum laude) in 1992 from the Medical School of the University of Messina, Italy. She is board certified in general surgery from the University of Messina and in endocrine surgery from the University Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Rome, Italy. Grazia is a Research fellow in National Cancer Institute of Naples, Italy. Her major current research interests are thyroid cancer; parathyroid disease; intraoperative calcitonin monitoring; predictive factors of clinical, laboratory, and imaging findings routinely used in diagnosing thyroid cancer; immunohistochemical and gene chip DNA microarray analysis of papillary carcinoma.
