Zhidong Bai
Zhidong Bai is a Provincial Professor and an Honorary Professor of Northeast Normal University and a Professor of National University of Singapore. After obtaining Ph.D. degree from the University of Science and Technology of China in 1982, Bai had been teaching and doing research on statistics sequentially at University of Science and Technology of China, University of Pittsburgh, Penn State University, Temple University, and National Sun Yat-sen University. Bai’s main research interest is the limiting theorems of probability and statistics, especially in spectral analysis of large dimensional random matrices and Edgeworth expansions. He has been a Fellow of IMS and a member of 6 academic associations including Institute of Mathematical Statistics, International Chinese Statistical Association.
