Cláudia Neves received her Ph.D. degree in statistics and operational research in 2006 from the Faculty of Science, University of Lisbon, Lisbon, Portugal. She is an Assistant Professor at the University of Aveiro, Aveiro, Portugal. Her areas of expertise include extreme value theory, theory of regular variation, semiparametric inference, spatiotemporal modeling, risk assessment, and large sample theory. Neves is a Member of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics and a Member of the Portuguese Statistical Society.
