Belaid Aouni is a Full Professor at the School of Commerce and Administration and Vice Dean of Research at the Faculty of Management, Laurentian University, Ontario, Canada. He is regularly invited to participate as a referee in several scientific journals. His research results are published in prestigious journals such as Operational Research Society, Journal of Global Optimization, Information Systems and Operational Research, and European Journal of Operational Research. He has been the editor and coauthor of the following works: (a) Looking South: The Canadian Perspective on North American Trade; Proceedings of the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada Conference, Operational Research Division, Vol. 14, 1994; (b) Taking Stock, Proceedings of The Annual Conference of the ASAC-IFSAM 2000, Division of Production and Operations Management, Volume 21, No. 7, 2000; (c) Introduction to Quantitative Methods in Management, Editions FSA, Quebec, 1996. In addition, he was a Guest Editor for three special issues of the European Journal of Operational Research and Information Systems and Operational Research journal. His research interest is focused on multicriteria decision aid, multiobjective programming, optimization, production, and operations management. He is a Member of several scientific associations in operational research such as the Institute for Operation Research and the Management Sciences, Canadian Operational Research Society, and the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada.
