Liselotte Mettler

Liselotte Mettler was born in Vienna, Austria. From 1959 to 1981 she obtained medical studies, doctorate, medical specialist training, habilitation, and professorship in Tübingen, Vienna, and Kiel. From 1981 to 2007 she was Deputy Director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University Hospitals Schleswig-Holstein, Kiel, Germany. Her main fields of interest are reproductive medicine, gynaecological endoscopy, and gynaecological endocrinology. Mettler is actively participating in many societies and organizations. She has written over 700 publications, 20 books, and 6 textbooks. Since 1973 she attended nearly all major endoscopic conferences in the world, particularly all AAGL meetings. She is Excel Award Winner of SLS. Since 2008 she has been Emeritus Professor at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University Hospitals Schleswig-Holstein, Honorary Patron of the Kiel School of Gyne Endoscopy and Reproductive Medicine, Lecturer at the German Medical Center, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai, UAE, and General Manager of Gyne Consulting Kiel.
