Arezki Smaili is a Professor of mechanical engineering at Ecole Nationale Polytechnique (ENP) of Algiers (Algeria) and the Head of "Clean-Renewable Energy Systems" team at ENP. He holds an M.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Laval University, Quebec, Canada, and a Ph.D. degree in energy sciences from University of Quebec, Canada. He was formerly a Research Scientist at the Wind Energy Laboratory at Ecole de technologie supérieure, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He has been involved with wide range of energy conversion applications and aerodynamics of wind turbines since 1998. His research has produced more than 60 technical papers.
