Molly S. Bray

Molly S. Bray is an Associate Professor of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine, Tex, USA and the USDA/ARS Children's Nutrition Research Center (CNRC), Tex, USA with a Ph.D. degree in human and molecular genetics. She is the Director of Research for the Bariatric Surgery at Texas Children's Hospital and heads the CNRC Genomics Core Laboratory. Bray specializes in population-based genetic analyses of complex disease data and has considerable interest and experience in research pertaining to the genetics of obesity and obesity-related interventions. Bray's research has included investigations of aerobic fitness and resting and exercise energy expenditure in children and adolescents, as well as genetic linkage and association studies of obesity in family-based and unrelated subject samples. In addition, Bray's research also includes animal models of circadian rhythms and clinical studies of morbidly obese children. Bray has published multiple papers on the genetics of obesity and the interaction between genes and environments.
