David E. Stec
Dr. Stec is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physiology & Biophysics at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. His research interest is in the role of the kidney in the development and maintanence of hypertension. He is currently interested in the role of heme oxygenase and its metabolites in the control of blood pressure and kidney function. He research ultizes whole animal physiological approach coupled with genomic, molecular and biochemical approaches to study the importance of renal heme oxygenase enzymes in the regulation of blood pressure and kidney function.
