Observing and Reducing IFUs: INTEGRAL and PMAS—Properties of the Ionized Gas in HH 202

Figure 9

HST image of the central part of the Orion Nebula, which combines Wide-Field Planetary Camera 2 (WFPC2) images taken in different filters [4]. The white square corresponds to the FOV of PMAS IFU used, covering the head of HH 202. The separate close-up image on the right shows the Hα map obtained with PMAS. The original map is 16 × 16 pixel of 1 × 1 arcsec2 size and has been rebinned to 160 × 160 pixel. Note the remarkable similarity between the HST image and our rebinned PMAS Hα map. Extracted from Mesa-Delgado et al. [2].
