Modelling Oil-Spill Detection with Swarm Drones

Finite state machine (FSM) that governs the operation of each agent. The initial state is Wander. The transition is triggered when the agent’s visual sensor detects an oil slick. Transition occurs when the amount of oil detected is >80% of the image. Transition is triggered when the amount of oil is ≤80% of the image. Finally, transition is triggered if no oil is detected.
