New Trends in Nonlinear Control Systems and Applications
Description
During the past three decades, nonlinear systems have been of interest to many control theorists and mathematicians, because nonlinear control theories have been successfully applied in a variety of areas, such as industrial electronics, process control, and mechanical systems. In recent years, nonlinear systems have also been studied extensively, and many new contributions on nonlinear system concepts, control approaches, and applications have emerged. It is to be expected that the interests in this area will continue to increase, due to current research efforts on green and renewable energy sources, next generation smart electricity grids, and biological engineering.
This special issue targets both researchers actively working in theory and applications to provide the recent and original research results on nonlinear dynamics and control. Research papers with theoretical studies, new techniques, and engineering applications are especially welcome.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Nonlinear system modelling, identification, and optimization
- Nonlinear observers
- Hybrid, impulsive, and switched systems
- Nonlinear stochastic systems
- Chaos theory and control
- Adaptive control
- Nonlinear control methods and applications
