Artificial Intelligence and Data Mining 2014
Description
Growing attention is being paid to the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and data mining as tablets and mobile application, and social media dominate the technology landscape. AI and data mining technologies can help design intelligent computer systems that exhibit characteristics typically associated with human intelligence. These technologies highlight many challenges in the areas of computational intelligence, affective computing, machine learning, and pattern recognition, for example. What is also needed are novel, fast, and effective algorithms for dealing with large-scale datasets in dynamic and uncertain environments—a largely an unexplored field.
We invite authors to submit original research as well as review articles that will stimulate continuing efforts to understand the theories and algorithms of artificial intelligence and data mining, and how these algorithms and theories have been applied to solve real-world problems in various fields. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Advanced artificial intelligence and data mining techniques
- High- performance data mining on the cloud platform
- Computational intelligence in dynamic and uncertain environments
- Machine learning on massive datasets
- Genetic algorithm and evolutionary computation
- Sentimental analysis and opinion mining
- Statistical methods for data mining
- Time series data analysis
- Pattern recognition
- Applications to social network, biology informatics, personalized learning, virtual reality, and forecasting
- Mining of remote sensing image archives: algorithms and applications
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/aaa/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/aaa/aidm14/ according to the following timetable:
