An example of control results of the FEL-FES controller before ANN learning. Since outputs of the ANN was almost 0, the control was performed only by PID controller. Three of six cycles in one control trial were shown. (model A, Palmar, cycle period of 3 s). Values of ME were 8.4 deg for palmar flexion/dorsiflexion and 6.6 deg for radial flexion/ulnar flexion in (a), and 3.4 deg and 4.9 deg in (b), respectively.
