The microstrain ε (proportional to the Fe–Fe distance) and the misfit strain 𝜂 = 2𝜀 are plotted as a function of the doping for the “122” family and for the “1111” family of high-temperature superconducting FeAs compounds. The highlighted area is the region where the maximum 𝑇_𝑐 occurs.
