Giant Electron-Phonon Anomaly in Doped La₂CuO₄and Other Cuprates

Comparison of some LDA predictions with experimental results for La_1.85Sr_0.15CuO₄ [42] and YBa₂Cu₃O₇ [72] at 10 K. (a,b) Experimental bond-stretching phonon dispersions compared to LDA results. The data in (a) are shifted by 2 meV. (c) Phonon linewidths in La_1.85Sr_0.15CuO₄ compared with LDA results on YBa₂Cu₃O₇ [42], contains no linewidth results for La_1.85Sr_0.15CuO₄ but they should be similar.
