Real-Time Observation of Cuprates Structural Dynamics by Ultrafast Electron Crystallography

Experimental set-up. A train of pulses from an amplified Ti:Saph laser is used in order to excite a specimen with polarized light, and to generate electrons from a photocathode. The delay between pump photons and probe electrons is controlled by a motorized delay line. The scattered electrons are recorded by a CCD camera (see details in the text).
