In-Medium Effects in the Holographic Quark-Gluon Plasma

The conjectured QCD phase diagram in the plane of temperature 𝑇 and baryon chemical potential 𝜇. The black lines indicate first-order phase transitions. The first-order confinement/deconfinement transition ends in a critical point at unknown (𝜇_𝑐,𝑇_𝑐). Here the transition becomes second-order. Lattice simulations suggest 170MeV≲𝑇_𝑐≲190MeV, nuclear matter has 𝜇≈1GeV [157]. CFL is the color-flavor-locked phase.
