Schematic drawing of the CHORUS apparatus. The large emulsion target was contained in a temperature-controlled cold room including the emulsion stacks, the changeable sheets, the fiber tracker planes together with their optoelectronic readout chains, and the air core hexagonal magnet. Downstream, a fiber-lead calorimeter and iron muon spectrometers complement the experimental setup.
