Mappings on Standard Operator Algebras

Call for Papers

This special issue is dedicated to the dissemination of current significant progress and new trends in operator theory. The main focus of this issue is mappings on standard operator algebras. Let X be a real or complex Banach space, B(X) the algebra of all bounded linear operators on X, and F(X)⊆ B(X) the subalgebra of finite rank operators. A subalgebra of B(X) which contains F(X) is called a standard operator algebra on X. Articles devoted to important problems in the field of standard operator algebras, especially problems involving mappings on standard operator algebras, are welcome. We invite researchers to contribute original research articles as well as review articles that will stimulate the continuing efforts on the topic and apply the results to other areas of mathematics. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Automorphisms, derivations, and other special mappings on standard operator algebras
  • Preservers on standard operator algebras
  • Local mappings on standard operator algebras
  • Elementary operators on standard operator algebras
  • Approximate mappings on standard operator algebras

Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal’s Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/algebra/guidelines/.
