Semantic Analysis in Social Media and Social Networks
Call for Papers
Wide-spread mobile devices and growing social websites have led to information explosion. Every minute, huge amount of multimedia contents are produced and uploaded to those websites, and this brings great challenge for effective and efficient indexing, browsing, and recommendations.
Currently, researchers start to make some progress in efficiently modeling and representing the multimedia contents, which are very crucial to the management of semantics in social media. The next more interesting step is to understand what semantics users are interested in, producing, storing, and exchanging, so that social websites can better communicate with users.
The goal of this special issue is to collect cutting-edge research work in semantic analysis for social media and social networks, providing us a vision on the developing direction of next-generation social network.
We invite researchers to submit original research as well as review articles that cover all aspects of semantic analysis in social media and social networks. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Semantic data mining in social media/models for semantic analysis/statistics in social network
- Semantics in cloud computing/mobile devices/smart data center/cyber-physical systems
- Semantic in social media content analysis tagging/content control/retrieval/index/distribution
- Semantic distance metric learning/similarity measurement in social network
- Semantics representations/feature extraction for social content analysis
- Semantics in user interests/app recommendation/human-computer interaction (HCI)
- Application to network security/biometrics/medication/education/arts/business
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/am/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/ according to the following timetable:
| Manuscript Due | Friday, 13 April 2012 |
| First Round of Reviews | Friday, 6 July 2012 |
