Multiphase Flow System with Suspended Particles
Call for Papers
Complex industrial multiphase flows generally require an understanding of the physics at different multiscales: micro/nano-scale, mesoscale, and macroscale. As such, multiphase flow investigations are certainly at the crossroads of intense research and development in the climate of significant advancements being achieved in experimentation as well as in computing power and performance. In spite of the many achievements, there remains much concerted development towards better understanding the associated complicated physics of multiphase flows through advanced experimental techniques and computational methodologies and models to specifically meet the escalating demands bolstered from various existing and emerging industries.
We invite investigators to contribute original research as well as review articles that seek to address the complexity of multiphase flows either for pure/applied research or industrial applications. We are particularly interested in articles that explore advances in numerical methodology and computational models as well as other novel and innovative experimental approaches. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Colloidal and suspension dynamics
- Fluidized and circulating fluidized beds
- Granular media and particle collision, agglomeration and breakup
- Interfacial or free surface flows
- Micro- and nano-scale multiphase flows
- Particle, bubble, and drop suspension dynamics
- Reactive multiphase flows with heat and mass transfer
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/ame/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/ame/mfssp/ according to the following timetable:
