Prognostics and Maintenance for Mechanical Systems in Harsh Environment
Call for Papers
Many types of mechanical equipment, such as wind turbine, crane, and hoist, are used in mining region, harbor, dessert, and ocean, which are harsh environments that may reduce the performances of the equipment or make them not easy or safe to access for maintenance. Thus, the safety and reliability design, as well as automated diagnosis, and predictive maintenance methodology are vital for these mechanical systems. To address these challenges, it is essential to develop the robust and intelligent maintenance strategies for the mechanical equipments in harsh environment.
The special issue attempts to bring together researchers, contents industry engineers, and administrators resorting to the state-of-the-art technologies and ideas on the related area. We invite authors to submit original research and review articles to this special issue. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Diagnosis and maintenance of engineering equipment within extreme environment
- Mechanical structure analysis under extreme environment
- Decision-making strategies for reliable operations of mechanical systems
- Information/data mining on mechanical system maintenance
- Robust, self-sustainable remote sensing, and monitoring systems
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/ame/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/ame/pmms/ according to the following timetable:
