Recent Advances in Computational Mechanics

Call for Papers

Computational mechanics deals with the use of numerical methods to study the physical phenomena governed by the principles of mechanics. It has got an enormous potential for the future growth and applications by incorporating new models of physical and biological systems based on quantum, molecular, and biological mechanics. It has transformed much of classical Newtonian mechanics into practical tools to predict and understand the complex physical systems. These tools are used today for the simulation and design of current and future products and equipments.

Over the past few decades, computational mechanics has made a significant contribution in the design and development of new products due to the availability of effective computational resources. Nowadays, the computational methods are applied to all areas of engineering and sciences. In general, the research in computational mechanics area is interdisciplinary in nature and span to several areas of mechanics, mathematics, computer science, and many others. Therefore, in this special issue, the strength will be given on the recent advancement in computational mechanics. We invite authors to submit original research and review articles to this special issue. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
