Evaluation of the Wind Energy Potential in the Coastal Environment of Two Enclosed Seas

<div>Assessment of the wind conditions in the Caspian Sea reported to a height of 10 m. The results are based on the NCEP data (1999–2008) for the mean values of (a) wind speeds—total and winter time, (b) power density—total and winter time, (c) monthly wind speed (C3, C6, C7, and C11), and (d) monthly wind speed (C3, C6 C7, and C11)—diurnal and nocturnal.</div>
