High-performance Concrete and Ultrahigh-performance

Call for Papers

Concrete is a material widely used in most buildings and structures all over the world, which has the largest annual consumption among various engineering materials. As the latest development of concrete science and technology, high-performance concrete (HPC) and ultrahigh-performance concrete (UHPC) have attracted more and more research attention in recent years. They are significantly different from normal concrete, since they usually employ new types of mineral and chemical admixtures, can be constructed with high fluidity, compatibility, and homogeneity, and have satisfactory early properties as well as long-term durability and mechanical properties superior to normal concrete. We invite authors to submit original research and review articles that seek to report research findings on raw materials, workability, early properties, durability, mechanical properties, and practical application of UHPC and HPC. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Advancement in raw materials, such as water-reducing agents and microbeads
  • Advancement in property characterization of HPC and UHPC, such as sulphate resistance and fire resistance
  • Process evolution and applications of HPC and UHPC
  • Durability study of HPC and UHPC
  • Foresight of research directions for HPC and UHPC

Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/amse/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/ according to the following timetable:
