Aims and Scope
Advances in Nonlinear Optics is a peer-reviewed open access journal dedicated to the study of the whole range of nonlinear optics from fundamental theory and experiment to systems applications. It is intended for both industry and academia. The journal provides both quick publication of original short papers and more lengthy articles. The journal particularly welcomes submissions utilising colour graphics and dynamic content, including video clips.
Subject areas covered by the journal include:
- Free space and guided wave nonlinear optics.
- Weak (second and third order etc. effects) and strong (non-perturbative) nonlinearities.
- Fast (electronic fs timescale) and slow (thermal ms timescale) nonlinearities.
- Novel nonlinear materials.
- Numerical simulation of nonlinear optical propagation.
- Applications of nonlinear optics in fields such as signal processing, optical communications, holographic memory and soliton phenomena.
