Effect of the methanolic extract of Lavandula officinalis on the onset and duration of sleep in thiopental-treated mice. Mice received thiopental (60 mg/kg, i.p.) 30 min after the pretreatment of methanolic extract (800 and 1000 mg/kg, p.o.) and diazepam (3 mg/kg, i.p.). i.p. means intraperitoneal route; p.o. means oral route; ( ) means number of mice per group; ME means methanolic extract; D ZP means diazepam.
