Nutraceuticals and Naturally Derived Anti-Inflammatory Compounds
Call for Papers
A nutraceutical (a term formed by combining the words “nutrition” and “pharmaceutical”) is simply any substance considered to be a food or part of a food that provides medical and health benefits. During the past decade, a number of nutraceuticals have been identified from natural sources; nutraceuticals are chemically diverse and target various steps in inflammatory processes thus representing a promising alternative for the management of different conditions.
We invite the investigators to contribute original articles as well as review articles that will focus on the use of natural and food-derived compounds in experimental or clinical investigations on inflammation. Potential topics include, but not limited to:
- Use of nutraceuticals in inflammatory disease models
- In vitro characterization of nutraceutical properties
- Molecular pathways modulated by nutraceuticals
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/aps/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/ according to the following timetable:
