Bcp1 peroxidase activity is dependent on yTrxR/yTrx. The activity was measured by the consumption of NADPH via a decrease in absorbance at 340 nm. (a) Time course of NADPH oxidation: the peroxidase activity of Bcp1 (3.5 μM) was measured at 30°C in presence of yTrxR (0.1 μM) and yTrx (0.1 mM). The reaction was started by adding 0.2 mM H2O2. (b) Michaelis-Menten plot of Bcp1 using yTrx as the substrate.
