Figure 2: Baker cyst of the left knee in a 14-year-old girl with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. Ultrasonography demonstrated the cystic lesion with 2.8 mL volume and echogenic sedimentation (a,b). Magnetic resonance imaging (1.5 Tesla MAGNETOM Symphony, Siemens, sagittal proton-density and T2-weigthed imaging, transversal DESS sequence) depicts the cyst with homogenous liquid signal and suggests continuity between cyst and joint space in the presence of joint effusion.
