Methionine synthase activity in cortex of SJl/J and C57BL6/J mice with or without thimerosal treatment. Methionine synthase activity was measured in the presence of either methylcobalamin (MethylB12) or hydroxocobalamin (HydroxoB12). Activity was significantly lower in SJL/J autoimmune-prone mice compared to the C57BL6/J strain, irrespective of thimerosal treatment.
