Effects of CAE, BKC, and SDS on the infectivity of HSV-2. HSV-2 was incubated in PBS (pH 7.4) containing varying concentrations of each compound at 30°C for 5 min. The amounts of infectious progeny viruses were determined by a plaque assay after the incubation and were normalized to that incubated in PBS (pH 7.4).
