Recognition of CnM (presented by accessory cells) by cells triggers their activation and proliferation. Meanwhile, a reciprocal signal from cells mediated through an unknown receptor-ligand interaction (?) induces accessory cells to express IL-15, which in turn primes cells for granulysin expression and anticryptococcal activity.
