Complete VLP internalize in vivo in the ileum (a) and colon (b). Frozen sections of intestinal samples from mice administered with complete GFP-VLP (green) were labeled with anti-RF antibodies and Cy3-conjugated (red); FITC-lectin DSA was used as a positive control. Tissue sections were analyzed by confocal microscopy. Overlay analysis shows that GFP colocalizes with viral proteins (yellow/orange). The arrows indicate the VLP.
