Production of IFN- and IL-2 by T cells upon stimulation with an anti-CD3 antibody. Peripheral T cells from SLE patients ( open circles) and healthy individuals ( filled circles) were cultured in 24-well plates previously coated with 10 g/mL of an anti-CD3 antibody for 2 (IFN-) or 4 (IL-2) days. The amounts of IFN- and IL-2 in the supernatants were measured by ELISA, and the data were normalized against those for the control. Data represent mean SD.
