Waveforms of simultaneously measured force exerted at the distal tendon of TA + EHL (a) and forces exerted at the tendons of EDL muscle (b). During isometric contraction, the connection between TA + EHL and the force transducer was severed (t200 ms). TA + EHL force dropped to zero and at the same time proximal EDL force decreased and distal EDL force increased. These results have been presented in abstract form [40].
