Regulation of Adrenal Aldosterone Production by Serine Protease Prostasin
Figure 4
Effect of angiotensin II type 1 receptor blocker (a) and (b), T-type/L-type channel blocker (a) and (b), or inhibitor (c) and (d) on the prostasin-induced CYP11B2 expression and aldosterone production in H295R cells. Cells were treated with prostasin (400 g/mL) in the presence or absence of valsartan (100 nM), efonidipine (100 nM), or Ro-31-8220 (1M). CYP11B2 mRNA expression (a) and (c) was determined following 24-hour treatment, and aldosterone production (b) and (d) was evaluated following 48-hour treatment. Values are means SD . versus vehicle. n.s.: not significant.
