Treatment of healthy CD4+ T cells with 5-azaC promotes IL10 and IL13 mRNA transcription. mRNA expression levels of IL10 (a) and IL13 (b) were measured by quantitative real-time PCR and normalized to -actin. Treatment with 5-azaC results in a 2.6-fold increase of IL10 and a 5.7-fold increase of IL13, relative to untreated controls ( and , resp.).
