Violin plots for quality control: violin plots for quality control in the BAC aCGH spotting process. Each spot is evaluated according to the hybridization quality control. There were ~200 samples comprising the experiment, and the percentage (over the number of samples) of times that each spot passed quality control was recorded. The violin plot in (a) shows the distribution of this percentage for each pin. The median is shown in white. The quality control for probes is assessed according to the (b) 384-well plates, (c) plate row, (d) plate column, and (e) repetition number for the BAC clones.
