Intravesical Dimethyl Sulfoxide Inhibits Acute and Chronic Bladder Inflammation in Transgenic Experimental Autoimmune Cystitis Models

Intravesical DMSO treatment reduces bladder histopathology in acute autoimmune cystitis. Acute cystitis was induced and treated in URO-OVA mice as shown in Figure 1. At day 10, the bladders were collected, prepared for histological cross-sections, and stained with H&E solution. (a) The normal bladder showing unremarkable mucosa and muscularis.
