Immunofluorescence analysis of p53 phosphorylation (red) in A172 cells before and at indicated times after exposure to ionizing radiation (5 Gy). These experiments were performed using our published techniques [18], except for the use of phosphospecific antibodies to Ser 15 (a) or Ser 46 (b) of p53 (Cell Signaling, Beverly, MA, USA). Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue).
