Camel Milk Triggers Apoptotic Signaling Pathways in Human Hepatoma HepG2 and Breast Cancer MCF7 Cell Lines through Transcriptional Mechanism

Figure 7

Effect of MAPKs inhibitors on camel milk mediated induction of caspase-3 mRNA levels in HepG2 cells. HepG2 cells were pre-treated with for 2 h with JNK inhibitor, SP600125, p38 inhibitor, SB203580, and ERK inhibitor, U0126, before the addition of camel milk (10 mg/mL) for additional 6 h. Thereafter, total RNA was isolated using TRIzol reagent and the mRNA levels of Caspase-3 were quantified using RT-PCR normalized to β-actin housekeeping gene as described Section 2. Duplicate reactions were performed for each experiment, and the values presented are the means ± SEM ( 𝑛 = 6 ) of three independent experiments. + 𝑃 < 0 . 0 5 compared to untreated cells; 𝑃 < 0 . 0 5 compared to camel milk-treated cells.
