Detection of Canonical Hedgehog Signaling in Breast Cancer by 131-Iodine-Labeled Derivatives of the Sonic Hedgehog Protein

Planar image of Fischer 344 rats bearing breast cancer xenografts approximately 2 hours after injection of 131I-SHH or 131I-BSA. Tumor accumulation of the tracer is only observed in the rat injected with 131I-SHH. The thyroid, stomach, and liver are also visible in both animals.
