Increments in plasma CK activity after intramuscular injection of native PhTX-I their chemically modified derivatives with BPB, AA, NBSF, and NPSC (all 20 μg/100 μL) and incubation of PhTX-I (20 μg) with heparin and EDTA. Controls were injected with 100 μL of PBS. Three hours after injection, blood was collected, and serum levels were measured. Values are mean ± SEM of five mice at each time point.
