Ex vivo mtDNA damage response to exogenous H2O2 in isolated lymphocytes and whole blood. Experiments were performed to detect the baseline damage level, induced damage by H2O2 treatment, and repair capacity of white blood cells from healthy volunteers. Lymphocytes were isolated from fresh blood of three volunteers and stored at −80°C.
