Cardiac endothelial cells in culture. (a) growth kinetics comparison of cardiac endothelial cells between unsorted and FACS-sorted cells derived from six female mice. (two 3-month-old, two 4-month-old and two 6-month-old). Each age group was combined into one sample. Cardiac endothelial cells were culture in DMEM with 10% FCS, 10 ng/mL VEGF, and 20 ng/mL bFGF for 50 days in 5% CO₂ and 5% O₂ incubator. (b) Representative RT-PCR analysis of cultured ECs at specified passages from atrium and ventricle.
