Effect of chemotherapeutic agents on TMA-DPH anisotropy. Cells were incubated with control vehicle or each agent and then harvested at the time when alive and susceptible population reached a maximum. TMA-DPH was added and anisotropy was assayed as described in Section 2. Data were analyzed by one-way analysis of variance followed by a Dunnett’s posttest comparing methotrexate (), actinomycin D (), paclitaxel (), and daunorubicin () to control (). The overall effect of treatment was significant () with all treatments differing individually from the control ().
