Serum TNF-α measured in the arthritic and nonarthritic samples. In comparison to the normal control group, the arthritic control animals demonstrated a marked increase in their serum levels of TNF-α (). In contrast to the arthritic control group, the measured cytokine levels were observed to be significantly reduced following the treatment with NA-2 or indomethacin (). Within the treatment groups, no significant difference was found.
