Protective Efficacy of N-(2-Hydroxyphenyl) Acetamide against Adjuvant-Induced Arthritis in Rats

The value in the table represents the mean ± SEM of 12 animals/group. A significant decrease in body weights from day 12 ( < 0.038) of arthritic animal compared to normal animals was observed till the end of experiment. Treatment with indomethacin significantly ( < 0.05) increases body weights compared to nontreated arthritic group from day 12 till the end of experiment. Treatment with NA-2 increases body weight of animals, but it shows significant increase (#P < 0.05) from day 18 compared to arthritic group.
