A binary variable was created for tooth loss: (i) 0–5 lost teeth and (ii) ≥6 lost teeth. 2OR: odd ratio and 95% CI: 95% confidence interval have been obtained from binary logistic regression; the category of 0–5 lost teeth was considered as the reference category. 3“Metabolic abnormality” was considered to be present when a subject's body mass index was ≥30 or he/she reported to have at least one of the following: diabetes mellitus, hypertension, or hyperlipidemia. 4Ref: reference category. |
